What is Moon Cast?
Moon Cast is pre-cut kinesiology face tape for overnight wrinkle control. Each pack has 100 soft cotton strips shaped for crow’s feet, marionette lines, 11s, and the forehead, so you can peel, press, and sleep.
What does face taping do?
Face tape holds your skin still and smooth while you sleep, so lines can look softer when you wake up. The effect is temporary, and repeated nightly use helps slow the deepening of expression lines.
Is Moon Cast face tape a Botox alternative?
Moon Cast is a needle-free alternative to botulinum toxin, but it works differently. Botulinum toxin is a prescription injection which works by paralyzing muscles. Moon Cast works on the surface, holding your skin still so lines can look softer in the morning.
Where do I place the strips?
Place them where lines usually form: crow’s feet, marionette lines, the 11s between your brows, and the forehead.
How long can I wear it?
Wear it overnight and remove it in the morning, no longer than 10 hours. If removing after more than 10 hours, use oil to soften the strips before removal.
How often should I face tape?
The number one rule of skincare is consistency. We recommend using it every other night. On the nights you tape, use Electric-C Daisy. On the off nights, we recommend using Youth Nectar for more ageless benefits.
Can I use it with my skincare?
Yes. Apply your skincare like your normally would and end with a face oil. Then tape. We formulated Electric-C Daisy specifically to use with face tape.
Can I use Electric-C Daisy with face tape?
Paracress is actually one of the best ingredients to pair with face taping. Both work toward the same goal—reducing the muscle activity and repetitive movement responsible for expression lines—making them a natural complement to each other!
That said, face tapes vary widely in their instructions and some specifically recommend applying to clean, product-free skin. Review your tape's guidelines before combining with any skincare product to make sure you are getting the best results from both.
How do I remove it?
Peel slowly from one end, keeping the strip close to your skin. If it grips, loosen the edge with warm water or a drop of oil.
Is it okay for sensitive skin?
Moon Cast is made from 95% cotton and 5% spandex, a medical-grade (allergen-friendly) adhesive and it is latex-free. If your skin is reactive, test one strip on a small area first, and remove it if you notice irritation.
Can I reuse a strip?
No. Each strip is single use. We did consider reusable silicone strips, but we found them suffocating for the skin and a lot less hygienic. Breathable cotton won us over!
