Paracress, also known as Acmella Oleracea and nicknamed Electric Daisy, is a flowering plant whose extract contains a compound called spilanthol.
In skincare, spilanthol temporarily reduces the intensity of muscle contractions responsible for expression lines and crow's feet. With consistent use it visibly softens dynamic lines — making it one of the most compelling botanical actives available for anti-aging formulation.
Why did you include paracress in a Vitamin C oil?

Can I use Electric-C Daisy with face tape?
Paracress is actually one of the best ingredients to pair with face taping. Both work toward the same goal—reducing the muscle activity and repetitive movement responsible for expression lines—making them a natural complement to each other!
That said, face tapes vary widely in their instructions and some specifically recommend applying to clean, product-free skin. Review your tape's guidelines before combining with any skincare product to make sure you are getting the best results from both.

Are the lemon and orange extracts in this product photo-toxic?
Phototoxicity in citrus ingredients is caused by furocoumarins—compounds found primarily in cold-pressed citrus peel oils.
The lemon and orange extracts in Electric-C Daisy are fruit extracts and contain no traceable levels of furocoumarins. They are safe for daytime use.
