What is bakuchiol?
Bakuchiol is a plant-derived active (from Psoralea corylifolia) shown to deliver retinol-like results—smoother texture, fewer fine lines, more even tone—without the typical irritation. It’s antioxidant, barrier-friendly, and suitable for most skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone.
Why do people call bakuchiol “nature’s retinol”?
Because multiple studies show bakuchiol can improve wrinkles, pigmentation, and photoaging similarly to retinol—but tends to be better tolerated and not photosensitizing. Translation: you can use it day or night and still wear sunscreen as usual.
Bakuchiol is ultra sensitive and you won't ever experience "retinol burn" like retinol products.
What is Sytenol® A—and why does it matter?
Sytenol® A is the gold-standard, certified form of pure bakuchiol used in the majority of clinical research. Not all “bakuchiol” on the market is standardized; Sytenol® A guarantees identity, purity, and batch consistency so you’re getting the results the studies are based on.

Ageless Body Dew is more than just nourishing body oils. It's a body oil and butter blend, with added proven actives: Vitamin C, Sea Buckthorn extract and Rosehip CO2 Extract.
What are "actives"?
“Actives” are the ingredients that do the heavy lifting—they’re added for a specific, proven effect like softening lines, brightening tone, or calming breakouts (think bakuchiol, vitamin C (THD ascorbate), niacinamide, azelaic acid). They only work as intended when used at purposeful percentages and in a formula that keeps them stable and skin-compatible; everything else in a product (oils, humectants, emulsifiers) helps deliver, cushion, and preserve those actives.
In short, "actives" are the star of the show.
Will bakuchiol make my skin sun-sensitive?
No—bakuchiol is not known to be phototoxic or photosensitizing. Daily SPF is still smart skincare, but you don’t need to avoid daytime use because of bakuchiol.
