All The Deets

Hydrosols are the aromatic remains following a plant’s steam distillation process. They consist entirely of cellular botanical water, which includes unique water-loving (hydrophilic) compounds that provide each hydrosol with distinct characteristics and benefits. While sharing many commonalities with their essential oil counterpart, their molecular makeup is unique enough that hydrosols often have very different aromatic profiles compared to the oil. They are sometimes referred to as floral water.

Made from 100% naturally-derived ingredients, this product includes approximately 98% organic hydrosol. To ensure the safety of this product and prevent microbial growth, up to 2% of a safe preservative is added (Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate & Water).

Rosemary

Fresh, herbaceous aroma provides mental stimulation for concentration and a pick-me-up feeling. When used on hair, Rosemary promotes shine, growth and overall hair health. It can also help brightens skin tone and supports mild irritations and blemishes.

Rose

Popular for its sweet rosy scent and a wallet-friendly alternative to essential oil. Rose revitalizes thirsty skin, calms redness and promotes a radiant appearance, perfect as a facial toner. Its aromatic properties encourage a sense of well-being and emotional balance.

Calendula

Distilled from the flowers of the Calendula officinalis plant, Calendula Hydrosol is a delicately sweet and warm-smelling hydrosol with a long history of traditionally being used to promote healthy skin by helping soothe blemishes and irritation. Use as a rejuvenating facial toner to support radiant-looking skin. It is also wonderfully gentle on delicate skin, making it an excellent choice for babies to help calm red, irritated skin. Calendula Hydrosol can also be added to a bath to help with occasional aches and pains from overexertion.

As a Hydrating Skin Toner:

To help calm irritated or dry skin, spray the hydrosol directly onto the area(s) of concern or soak a cotton round or clean cloth in the hydrosol and apply where needed.

As a Makeup Remover:

Remove makeup or clean skin by first massaging your favorite carrier oil gently onto your face. Add the hydrosol to a cotton round and wipe away the oil, makeup, and other impurities, while helping to refresh and tone.

As a Hair Toner:

Support healthy hair with Rosemary Hydrosol cleansing and nourishing properties; simply spray and massage into your hair and scalp. We only recommend the Rosemary Hydrosol for use on hair.

As a Linen Spray:

Hydrosols are often used in creating room sprays and linen mists. We recommend the Rose Hydrosol as it has the most aromatic properties of all the Hydrosols here.
